Week 1 basics of building with earth
• selecting soil
• making cob
• soil testing
*Video with hands on testing of soil
Week 2 test brick
*Hands on mixing cob
Week 3 planning cob oven
• group and individual work on grid paper
* Video with paper sketching
Week 4 cob oven model
• make cob oven using sugar cubes in clay
* Hands on modeling
week 5 Home foundation
*Video with worksheet
Week 6 Wall formation
* Video with worksheet
Week 7 planning a cob house
* video with paper sketching
Week 8-10 build cob oven
* We will be building a usable size cob oven on a flatbed. This will be a group project.
